This is good news! I have XP Pro installed right now and I've been thinking of installing Vista Ultimate for awhile now.

If I were to buy any of the new games that were designed to run on Direct X10 I might consider installing Vista. However until it has been tried and tested and Vista has had its first Service Pack, I am staying with the tried and somewhat trusted XP. There are still some great games using DX 9 that I am happy to still play and haven´t so far played.

To be honest, and I know that more and more people are starting to like Vista, I really don´t trust it, I somehow get the feeling it´s like a Big Brother watching me. One of the biggest arguments as to why I changed over to a Mac.

Dont worry, big brother was always watching ;) Well at least with XP and Vista. I believe Win2k SP4 might have started all that :) Thats what I think.

I moved from XP to Vista and haven't noticed a huge decrease in performance. This is on a base model iMac, which isn't exactly a powerhouse, but it can just about manage the Crysis demo on low settings.
