Hey I was wondering if anyone knows if Xquartz is supposed to download a folder called opt on your mac cause the first time I installed it it did that but then I deleted xquartz and reinstalled it and the opt folder isn't there.

It's supposed to be hidden. You can hide it with this command in terminal

sudo chflags hidden /opt

Remember, be careful with sudo commands, as always

how come it was not hidden before I reinstalled my OS? Because the first time I installed it I could see it and then recently I reinstalled Mountain Lion and now i don't see it anymore.
