iPhone Xr, 13.3.1

I just got this Xr a couple of weeks ago to replace a failed 6s. I plug both my iPad and iPhone into my iMac every night for charging and backup. When I wake the Xr in the morning it asks me to "Trust This Computer" every time. This does not happen with my iPad and did not happen with the 6s.

I read that this might be caused by a faulty cable, so I replaced the cable I was using for the 6s with the brand new cable that came with the Xr.

I also tried resetting Location & Privacy.

I also read that turning off the Personal Hotspot might work (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/12-4-1-trust.2195910/). But, that option doesn't exist anymore. I have turned off Allow Others to Join.

Any other ideas?

do you happen to have Console.app open when you are connecting? Or configurator? I get the Trust message when these apps are open because they want to pull down info from the iDevice. For example, Console.app tries to load and display the logs from your phone.

No, I don't generally keep Console open. But, if it were something on the Mac wouldn't it affect both my iPad and iPhone? Both are connected all night via USB. I never have the issue with my iPad and didn't have it with my old 6s.
