What is going on with the A12 benchmarks?

The single-core scores on GeekBench are quite a bit faster, but the multi-core scores are lower than what I am getting on my current X.
 
Yeah, processor isn't a huge improvement. You will notice better real world isage be aise of the RAM. Apple might win a few real-world app cycle speed tests now with that ram. Theyve always been king of benchmarks.
 
The A12 is overall 15% faster then A11. The big saving is the 7nm thickness which save battery use and heat. GPU performance is over the top for gaming and things involving graphics rendering.

There is rumor to be an additional GB of LPDDR4 RAM - totally 4GB. That will help Xs age well.
