XS Max camera doesn't save both HDR and normal photo...

Can someone help me with the camera settings? Regardless of whether "keep normal photo" is checked, I only get ONE version of the photo I'm taking. It also doesn't seem to matter whether Smart HDR is checked either.

When I had the Keep Original Photo on I got both the Smart HDR and the Normal one in my library. Only happens when the camera decides that Smart HDR needs to be used though.

Are you sure those photos are actually HDR? If they don’t have an HDR tag then it didn’t use HDR which is why it only gave one photo.
