Wondering if anyone else is having an odd issue with the display of the Xs Max. I hope I can deceive this decently. If I look at the display directly straight on, I would say the screen looks like a warm white. If I turn the phone even just slightly in any direction, the screen appears to be more of a blue or cool white. There is a very noticeable difference in the screen color depending on whether I am looking directly straight at the display, or slightly off.

Anyone else experiencing this?

How far are you turning it? OLED blue shift is a thing but it's a lot better on iPhone than it is on other devices (the Pixel 2 XL blue shift is painful, for instance)

Also worth mentioning: with true-tone enabled you'll probably get less blue due to the tendency of lighting (natural or otherwise) to have a warmer hue.

That’s a characteristic of OLED displays, it’s like like that on any phone with OLED

Holding side by side with my iPhone X, my XS Max is noticeably warmer/dimmer with identical display settings. Though I will mention that when I upgraded to the X last year, the screen seemed quite yellow but eventually resolved itself. Waiting a few more days before I request a swap. These phones are too pricey for QOL issues.

Yeah OLED just isn't uniform at all angles. It's pretty great straight on though.
