Hello,

I am about to receive my iPhone Xs max on Tuesday and super excited about it!

I can see that from the invoice the serial number starts with FF and I was curious to know the manufacturing week as I was reading up on yellow tint issue and some suggest displays from week 38 seems good but there is no evidence whatsoever to that. Anyways when I check the serial number in
http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html it shows as possible factory refurbished model!

These are new phones and so I am concerned how can it be refurbished? My serial number starts with FF.

Appreciate any inputs!

Thanks
Andy

Mine is also FF and is brand new with retail packaging. I wouldn't trust chipmunk. Plus the F is coming from Zhengzhou factory.

BTW mine is week 37 and is perfect.

My FF Max has a better display then any of the other Max's ive seen. which is crazy considering the manufacturing week was in august.

I think our best Stanford researchers should team up to study new phenomena such as what I’ll call “iPhone hypochondria”.

You’ll be fine.

Neat! This doesnt mention about the significance of the second letter (F or 2) in the serial number like "fF", "f2" etc. may be there is none.. Thanks for this info.

Guys, i figured it out. The main our mistake - we confuse one thing with the other! There is a 4 letters that define is your device new or refurbished (M - new device, P - personalized, F - refurbished, N - issued instead of the broken device). But all that letters are located in MODEL NUMBER, NOT IN THE SERIAL NUMBER! The letter F in the serial number talks about region of the factory where the device was made! Cheers and rest assured u use the very new and hot iPhone!
