XServe: What's Next?

When will we see a new XServe for the render farm market? I would dig either a price-reduced DP G4 option or G5s.

XServes should be marketed to audio/DV production people as much as for enterprise solutions. Better video card options and Superdrives would be nice. I would MUCH prefer the rack enclosure form factor to the tower.

What's the consneus in Macland?

Don't think so...

The 1.33GHz has been around quite awhile, and many commented it was this speed because the 1.42GHz was too hot.
