Anyone having email problems with their yahoo account lately? I've actually got an sbcglobal account set up with the yahoo settings and it's been working great for the most part. But recently, it's stopped pushing mail. In fact, it's not even checking for new mail until I force it to. I can wake up in the morning, and normally I'd have my little mail icon telling me I'd have 8 or so new messages. But lately, I get up, and nothing, until I hit check new mail and it then pulls all the new messages from since I went to bed.

I've reset it, I've deleted the account and readded it. I am annoyed.

Yeah the same thing seems to be happening to me. Yahoo no longer delivers new mail. I have to refresh the app everytime I want to check my mail.

Anyone have a fix for this?

Man I just registered here thinking my Iphone is broken. This exact same thing is happening to me. I use Yahoo Mail, and now my iphone never shows I have new mail. I have to manually hit the refresh button in my inbox.

I used to wake up in the morning and see the little red number 5 on my mail icon showing 5 new messages, now it shows nothing. I have to go into my mail and hit the refresh button.

Any fixes?!

BTW: I'm using 1.1.3, not jailbroken, not hacked.

when in doubt, reset the unit. If that fails, delete the account and reconfigure it...

Same problem here. Hasn't worked since this past weekend. No amount of resetting or deleting/adding yahoo mail fixes it. Manually checking is the only way to get mail. And it was working pretty well lately up till this.

i have an sbcglobal account as well and it has been giving me problems for a while now. both in mail app and on my iPhone. for a while it told me to change my settings to the new settings, which i did, then it still wont work. wont push mail. and often rejects my saved password. usually have to tell it to try again about 4 or 5 times before it accepts my password. really annoying. i am working on switching over to a g-mail account because with g-mail you can use imap which will 'sync' your mail so if you read it on your iPhone it will be marked as read in your normal g-mail account as well as in mail app. which is really really cool feature.

Push broken

Same deal here. Push broken since the weekend. Was working perfectly since 1.1.3 upgrade(before upgrade it was sometime yes sometimes no). There are two threads on the forum, but no where near what I expected about the outage. Blackberry email outage was national news.(I know this isn't complete outage) Very annoying none the less. I was hoping to hear some news form someone in the know. Nothing yet-

Been there done that already. Still no love for my sbcglobal account on my iphone.

I've had hell using push email on this phone. I wish apple and yahoo could get their crap worked out once and for all.

I should also add this is on a 1.1.3 iPhone that's not been jailbroken or hacked in any way.

I am having the exact same issue and have not been able to find any solution to the problem. I have also deleted and reset up the account.

could someone teach me how to set it up so my iphone could do the push email too? i am using yahoo.

Just set up your yahoo account by clicking the Yahoo logo from the "Add new account" setup screen for email accounts. If you do that, enter your login and password, you'll be using push email.
