Yahoo updated their app to include video calling from iPhone 4. I havnt had a chance to try it yet. Anyone get it to work? Does it work over 3G?

My main interest in this was iPhone-to-desktop video chat, but I can't get it to work (i.e., the option to video chat is disabled when messaging someone on the iPhone). Anyone else have better luck?

Works for me, over Wifi and 3G - its pretty good. Do you have facetime enabled on the iPhone? Maybe that has something to do with it.

Got to try it this morning (iPhone 4 to windows xp desktop). Works well over 3G. Very cool. I've been waiting for this since I got my iP4.

Same here

Edit: anyone here successfully doing it using Mac or PC?

Works great for me. Initialized the call from both iPhone and desktop. Pretty smooth video.... Can someone try iPhone to iPhone?

Edit: I have done it from pc desktop to iPhone and it works great. Just tried it from iPhone to iPhone over 3G and it works pretty well. You can also flip to the backside camera (like with facetime) which is pretty cool.

Apparently Yahoo Messenger Beta 3 for Mac does not support video calling. I tried Yahoo Messenger 10 for Windows and I was able to have a video chat. As you can see from the websites, the Win version has "Video Calling", while the Mac version has "Webcam Video" - which is not the same.

Looks like Mac video chat is unsupported at this time.
