Yahoo does not push or even check at the set interval. All other accounts check every 15 min (tried 30, hour, etc) as set. This issue first popped on 1.0 but continues on 1.0.1. I have done two restores, deleted the account and re-added but it still stops auto checking. I have to go into the inbox to make it check.

Any ideas?

Not sure if it helps but, i had to turn off wifi, and use cingulars edge, and it would seem to work. kinda sux.

I had to do this the very 1st time only. I was told to remove my Yahoo Account on the iPhone and turn off WiFi. The Power Reset the iPhone and then make sure Yahoo Mail works over EDGE for the 1st time. After that it started working with either WiFi or EDGE.

Its still happening with 1.0.2. Wifi, edge, both don't check at times. Nothing has helped.

I noticed today if I only have a yahoo account setup doesn't matter how many 1 or 5 The setting for check mail in intervals does not exist can't select 15 minutes or 30 minutes or nothing

Any one else notice that ?

Called apple and they seemed not aware of the situation

Mine is unlocked using it on t-mobile if it matters

If I add a gmail or aol account the option appears

Update yahoo doesn't check for me either I setup a gmail and a yahoo

sent myself an email at the same time

Had the iphone set to check every 15 minutes

when I recieved the beep that I had a message only my gmail account had it not the yahoo Untill I had to pull it myself

whats up apple ?

Looks like alot of people have yahoo not checking like it should.

If you guys have only a yahoo account set up it won't even give you an option for auto check.

This is normal. Yahoo is Push email so there is no poll setting like POP and IMAP. However, Yahoo Push is not that reliable. Works sometimes and stops other times. Good Luck.

Ok well I reset my phone last night before I went to bed and turned off my wi-fi in the morning I had all my emails.

That explains why there is no auto check feature cause yahoo is push

Does yahoo push only work while connected to edge ?

Cause it sure don't seem to work with wi-fi
