Hey Guys,

So the Yahoo! Weather app just came out, and i know its early, but does anyone know if a way that can replace the default apple weather app in the notification bar? it looks really great! check it out

I really like it. Really smart using the background pictures from Flickr users. Good detail but simple to use.

Cool app... However, The Weather Channel app still provides a lot more data.. I hope Yahoo adds more data in theirs, if so it will be my go to and would want a tweak that would open it by default too..

It looks beautiful no doubt, but the weather from Yahoo is notoriously inaccurate... Which is the real reason why I kept trying to replace the stock app.

This app replaced the TWC app that I had been using for a while. Yeah, it is off by 1-2F but who cares. As long as I have a ballpark figure of how cold/hot it is outside, I am good.

i really like it, but wish that, with one swipe down, it would LAND on the next 'page'...instead of my having to adjust it...

overall, tho, excellent app.

Beautiful looking and very functional weather app - BUT - no badge with current temp on icon = FAIL.

I was curious so I tried to search around and see what you were referencing here... no luck. Care to fill us in?

I guess you weren't using a widget that was using GPS when yahoo decided to close geolocation services. All widgets that used GPS broke, and was pretty much stuck with WOEID. The heavy widget creators were all in the UniAW6.0 thread on mmi figuring how fix it. KOH shared something that selects from geo.placefinder that gets the WOEID, then Dacal rewrote the location.js file to use that select to GPS widgets could work again. There are 2 different location.js files out there. The one Dacal made works with the newer widgets... and The.Drifter posted one that works with older widgets.

Looks great. But doesn't update for me when on a wifi network.... I have to switch to LTE then it updates

A polished turd is still a turd. Looks nice but the weather isn't all that accurate. It was raining here and it was still showing it as being sunny. Also, no severe weather alerts. Not very impressive.

weather is accurate here... and like having multiple cities set up...with their own images. from where i sit (or stand), it's a pretty-good app... ;)
