I'm sorry about this, but I just have to vent
A bit annoyed at the moment!
So my iPod Touch just recently died (can't restore it or anything - get unknown error 13) and I decided it was time to get an iPhone. I absolutely loved my Touch and wanted to have both my media player and phone in one, so an iPhone would be perfect for me. So I ordered it and received it a few days later. Everything seemed perfect, but the trouble was just brewing underneath that fine display. When the battery ran out all hell was loose - I charged it overnight (12+ hours!) and the next morning, it still had the battery display saying it needed to be charged. I tried resetting it. Nothing. I tried different dock cables, power adapters and power outlets. Nothing. I tried plugging it into different USB sticks in the computer. Nothing. The computer wouldn't recognize it.
I then tried putting it into DFU mode - and hooray! The computer recognized it and I was able to restore it. I thought. After the restoration I eagerly waited and hoped it would have fixed the charging problem. But no, it hadn't. That darn charging screen reappeared on the iPhone.
Needless to say, I went to the store and got it sent for repair. I had the phone for a total of two days and I couldn't get a new one. Apparently, it's a policy of Apple to have every iPhone sent for repair instead of giving replacements. Jesus Christ. So here I am, waiting for my iPhone to come back - or to get a new one.
Not a great experience, I must say. Not a great start. Hopefully I won't have problem when I get it back.
Once again - sorry for the rant, but I just had to vent
