I would just like to give you all an idea of owning my iMac for one year.

-For one, it is still incredibly fast in the tasks I use it for. I'm guessing it will still be pretty fast 3 years down the line. I probably won't have a need to update for another 3 years.

-The screen, while not liking it much at first, is perfectly fine now that I got used to it.

-It is still very quiet.

-The computer itself still looks brand new.

-Wish it had more ports.

-Graphic card is completely fine. Unless you you're a hardcore gamer, I've found the graphic card completely fine.

-I find it difficult using up all my ram (4gb) when opening nearly every single app on my computer.

-------
There have been a few minor annoyances, but each update has gotten rid of them, and now there are zero annoyances I can think of.

I think the black alumi model will age well as there isn't much to not like about it. Industrial type design that is simple yet stylish. In five years it will still look good, imo.

sounds good to me so far! Congrats for 1 year ani. I have 2 gigs on my and it works well so far. I will buy 4 gigs in a months or two.

Couldn't agree more, this is one of the reason I switch from PC. My iMac is going to be perfectly fine for my needs for at least 4 years possibly more. It's hard for me to imagine the aluminum iMac ever looking ugly.

i agree with basically all your points (also after 1 year of ownership).
except i liked my screen from the start. still do.
i'm still ok with ports, but only have one open usb (left keyboard) left.

all in all it is an amazing computer and will be for years to come. :) :apple:
