I am trying to design a yearbook cover for the school that I work for. We are trying to use the ATTENTION theme, focusing on the 'TEN" in the word as the year. Our colors our Navy Blue and Gold, similar to the Naval Academy. Can anyone shed some light on this please???

Hi.

I was guilty of slack research ONCE and I will never go there again. I swear...
Run over to Google. Look at what others offer professionally and then use the Google Image search to look at pictures related to what you want to do.

Being a previous yearbooker myself, I'd say that '10 is a huge opportunity for schools out there to take advantage design-wise.

For a cover, I'd almost recommend something minimal. Maybe a navy background with two white lines that would have ten photos inside covering the back and front, and then with your theme ATTENTION below in a gold, simplistic font.

If you'd like me to send you some pages from my senior book ('04), I'd be glad to. Or if you'd like to discuss this further, feel free to shoot me a PM. We ended up winning a Spartan Award from the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association that year, so I consider it to be pretty successful!
