when i received core 2 duo imac i had no yellow tinge. today i have yellow tinge. 2 day old mac. anyway not going to replace it now because i love this computer despite having that yellow issue :D i guess i will have apple replace the screen in a year or so, right now im pretty sure the chance of getting another one faulty is very high. i simply don't know anyone who doesnt have yellow tinge right now.

Apart from the yellow tinge, my iMac i5 is perfect. And the yellow tinge is inconspicuous, so I'm in doubt if I should exchange my iMac.

My i5 has a bottom of screen tinge. Fortunately, in my eyes, it is of a mild degree. Otherwise, the i5 I have has been flawless so I am also very reluctant to attempt an exchange. My luck I might get a "white screen" but a noisy hard drive or screen flickering.

I have noticed that the tinge is a bit less noticeable depending on the viewing angle of the screen to my eyes. When looking at non-white screen items the slight discoloration is easily "disguised".

On the whole I am greatly enjoying the i5 experience. We always risk some surprises when buying the first run of such an item. Knowing the Apple record of warranty support is some comfort. Will be picking up Applecare before year warranty expires.

Yes, I noticed that too. Sometimes I don't see it at all. It is best noticed on a light grey background.
