Why am I not seeing this year any more threads of yellowish tint on the display of the iPad Pro's especially on the 11" ? though someone did mention in one of the threads that the 11" display looks lot warmer which I hate. I just live the Trademark Apple Blueish Whites !!

Can someone please confirm on this is the display on the 11" iPad Pro not the typical Blueish Whites kind of display as it has been a trademark display of Apple iPad and I think even iPhone devices. is the display on the 11" iPad Pro warmer more on the yellower side ? If someone can just bring up a white wallpaper on their 11" iPad Pro, turn off the true tone and check out the display on how the whites are ? Are they the typical trademark Apple Blueish Whites ? Love those !! Hate the warm yellowish display !!

If you turn off True Tone the display is the usual bluish white (at least on mine). My husband saw the same thing on his Xs.

There is no yellow issue here, so stop trying to create one. Its not an OLED Panel

I'll confirm there are no yellowish display issues.

Hope that is really the case. I was reading some comments here last week where people were reporting that they felt even without the true tone off there display of the 2018 iPP was a lot warmer !

I don’t have a yellow tint, but I do have an ugly green line running across the display of my brand new iPad Pro! Contacted Apple Support and I have arranged for an exchange. Take a look for yourself below. A thin green line right smack in the middle. The funny thing is, it is not persistent. It goes off sometimes. I guess some faulty connection somewhere?

My personal experience so far with iPad LCD display is, as and when you use it more, the display will become more uniform. So I wouldn't fret too much over just some minor line running on the iPad. It will become uniform more you use it. Just my two cents !!

Edit : oh I see that line just going through the middle of the iPsd is sure unnerving. Maybe that's a issue. I was talking about any other colour issues.

Really? I didn’t know that. But I already contacted Apple regarding the exchange and they were willing to do it. Strangely, I’m not pissed about it or anything. Ive gotten so many Apple products throughout the years, and this is the first time that I gotten one with an actual defect. It just felt strange to have one.

Yes but in your case, I think you should get the device replaced, that line which runs through the middle of the screen dividing the screen into half lol ! is bothering for sure ! I am with you on this !!

I bought both 12.9 and 11 inch to try out. The 11 inch model is warmer and has a noticeable yellow tint when compared to my 12.9.

It’s the true tone people. Turn off true tone and you’ll get a brighter whitish blue screen. Simple.

That is what I was asking some guys earlier and they were saying that even with the true tone off their screen display looked a lot warmer a pale yellow kind of thing

Screens are funny. I have been using my MacBook Pro and new iPad 11 with True Tone on and the screens look fine on both. I'm not using True Tone on my XS which has a slightly warmer screen than my former X had. I just turned True Tone off on my MBP and iPad and set the screens on the highest brightness setting. Both screens look bluish white until compared with my XS. The iPad and MBP have warmer screens than the XS and the iPad has the warmest screen when looking at all 3 screens side by side. When I just look at the iPad it looks white and even. So I guess I'd have to say the iPad has a warmer screen but still a great screen even with True Tone on. It is even which is most important to me.

I used to think I preferred a bluish white screen and returned a few iPads in the past to get one. Now I prefer a warmer (not yellow) screen and the new iPad is perfect in my eyes.

No, the 11", with true tone off, is visibly warmer than the 10.5" previous generation. Personally, I'm somewhat annoyed about this. I dislike the yellow tint during daylight. Makes me think twice about keeping this model.

Any chance they have Night Shift turned? This will turn the display warmer and "neutralize" the blue light. It's recommended during the evening as it is less restraining for your eyes.

It is a very minor color difference — nothing to worry about. My 1st gen 12.9 iPad Pro had a warm streak down the center of the screen. That particular unit was a result of multiple exchanges from units with HORRIBLE backlight bleed. I had to live with that defect for 3 years. Your screen looks beautiful — keep it.

2018 IPP are somewhat warmer than previous IPP. Still, they are slightly cooler than D65. So your complaint basically amounts to the new IPP being more accurate.

The tint on the 11” I have now is very nice. I prefer a slightly warmer temp and that is what it has. Just turn of TT off and you have a more neutral Color, just not blue (which I personally dislike)

My 1.5 year old 10.5 Pro is definately less warm, and has a nice balanced Color temp. However, the Color temp on the 10.5 varies a lot depending on which part of the screen you look. The 11” is much more even across the screen

I am maybe a little late to this forum, but I recently upgraded my iPad to the newest iPad Pro. When I put the screens next to each other there is a very clear difference in screen and True Tone is definitely off on both screens. Proof that the iPad 3rd gen screens really are yellow not white.
