Yellowsn0w - randon issues.

Hi there,

I've unlocked my 16GB iphone, using yellowsnow as per describe. And its fully working.

In the 'about' menu it says: carrier 2.9


Now im trying to unlock my bro's 8GB and it not working.
I restore the phone to new state (with an 02 pay as you go sim card in, run quickpwn (put in a vodafone sim), apply the yellowsnow update.

In the 'about' menu, its says carrier O2 2.9, with the O2 sim in and vodafone sim. When the Vodafone sim is in the iphone, the 'carrier' menu vanishes.
In the top corner says: Invaild Sim


Now using the vodafone sim always through I get the same kind of issues but in the about menu under carrier i get: Null Null


any ideas?

Unfortunately, the unlock is very patchy right now, your best bet is to sit tight and wait for the unlock to go to Version 1.

Other than that, what I would suggest is un-installing the hack.. rebooting your phone, reinstalling the hack hard-reset (sleep/wake+home) and put the voda SIM in. Also, if you get it working, don't turn the thing off as it, in my experience, breaks the phone lock.

upgrade to the newest version of yellowsn0w 0.9.6. It has solved problems with almost everyone's sim cards. Go iphone on t-mobile!
