I always wondered when it would happen. I've been a "user" since my Mac Classic and have always been able to confidently say Apple is a great company that it's always cutting edge and always on top of things.
But no longer.
Cases in point...
These are clear signs that Apple is so focussed on the big picture they are missing the details – a classic sign of a company becoming too bloated. It happened to Microsoft (but they're turning things around) and it has happened to Adobe, now Apple.

- On my iPad today, I purchased from iTunes an album of classical music with album notes. Being Apple, I thought it should be available once the purchase is finished – that's not too much to ask. I search and search and finally "Google" the problem to discover I need to go on my Mac to put it in iCloud Drive. REALLY?!?!?!? It's a freakin' PDF. Why wouldn't it be stuffed into my iBooks or something. Then, in iTunes all I get is a notice "Your purchases are not available right now. Please come back later" or something to that affect. I have hundreds of purchases since iTunes first came out. C'mon Apple!
- Why do I still need a computer to do some iPad things (see above). REALLY!?!?!?!? To (almost) quote my Prime Minister, "It's 2016!"
- Pages, Keynote, etc. docs made on my MBP with my Mac fonts get messed up on my iPad. REALLY?!?!?!?!? This is a leftover problem from the Windows-Mac era from a decade ago when fonts wouldn't work and we're talking about the same company here.
- Why does Google Drive work better on my MBR and iPad than iCloud Drive?
