Only lag that is noticeable appears in the drop down search menu. Anything else? Almost perfect, as good as 8.4

To those claiming that os stutters etc. Apple probably fixed something, thats why iOS 9 GM is another build than yesterday release to public.

Update, wait and enjoy the system!

Completely agree. I never ran GM or PB this go around. Went from 8.4.1 to yesterday's release. Completely happy with iOS 9.

I ran the GM and immediately went back to 8.4.1. Upgraded yesterday to iOS 9 PR and I am much happier. It isn't perfect on my 6 plus, but its about on par with 8.4.1, other than that pesky task switcher which I hate to use because of how laggy it is for me.

Its really good if you update all your iPhone 6's in the house to 9.0 at same time, then you gradually will not notice the difference and not have something to compare it to readily available.

I would say the experience is quite pleasant after a day of normal usage on my iPhone 6 plus, the only lag I experienced is the multitasking lag, but it doesn't bother me a lot since I seldom use that.

iPhone 5S here and I'm actually pretty happy with it. Photos app and multitasking are flying!

An occasional stutter here and there, but very happy with everything. Loving the new font!

sometimes slow on response when tapping for an app to open but overall, nice release.

It's definitely faster than 9GM. Which wasn't bad at all. Very pleased with the result.

Older devices like iPad mini 1 and iPad 2, are very usable again. They got another year of life.

Best update ever.

Maybe Apple should add to their marketing,
"It just works, but day two is faster than day one."

Awful on the 5s. It's not just me.

I've already looked at several iPhone 5s' with different amounts of content and even freshly restored ones, and the experience is still unpleasant. Lag everywhere.

Battery life, however, is phenomenal.

Hmm. My experience on the 5S has been the opposite. The GM was OK, not great, for performance. Battery life was pretty poor. The update yesterday smoothed out performance A LOT, but battery life is still pretty poor :/ maybe I'm asking too much, but I'd really like to get more than 3/4 hours of use on a charge. 8.4.1 was giving me 6-8 depending on what I was using.

Move Control Center up and down. Experience the lag yourself.

After 24 h after update: I realy like this version. iOS 9 is very good. Notes app is superb (I removed Pages becouse of new Notes power). Only smart albums in Photos I dislike a little (Screenshots and Selfie).

I figured out that when I connect jack (in car) iPhone's screen wake-ups. It is also new in iOS 9.

Ive not seen issues on my iPhone 6 Plus or my iPad Air.

A member suggested turning transparency on , as I opt always to turn it off to see tbe lag and stutter. Tbh I have not because I've never liked transparency.

Stats so far from today.

Usage 4 hrs 33 mins and Standby 22 hours 12 mins and currently at 47%

I'm assuming you're referring to the slight delay between the drag and the actual opening of the panel? It's there if I swipe very quickly, but usually I open it slowly enough that I don't notice. I didn't know it was an issue until I read it on here and went looking for it.

Yes having a similar issue also within apps. Trying to open a Calendar events for example has been a problem. I also have a few keep fit apps like Runtastic and Motion X
not launching. Assume the developer will issue new versions soon.

I skip IOS 8 on my Old reliable Ipad 2 (because of some bad review) so I decided to stick to IOS 7. But yesterday I took the plunged and tried IOS 9 with clean install. And, all I could say is, my Ipad 2 was born again. It feels like brand new again and it is more responsive than the aging IOS 7, and best of all, now I can use Apple music on my ipad.

Working really well here on an iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. No performance issues. Lots of useful new features and improvements.
