Yet another iPhone 6/iOS 8 bug: NO SOUND

Twice today I lost the sound on my iPhone 6. Pressing the volume buttons does nothing. No sound through the phone, no sound through headphones, no sound through Bluetooth, not in the Music app, not in Downcast, not in anything. The only way to get the sound back is to reboot the phone. Really Apple? Ugh!!!!!

Both my wife and I (6 pluses) are experiencing this. I can only fix with a reboot. It's showing "dock connection" and there is no option to change it to anything else (even ATV) and I can't figure it out. Hopefully something will be fixed in 8.1 (8.0 had some issues with Maps volume)

I have this on my iPad 4, also no sound through headphones. So no sound at all. Reboots do nothing.

Hard reboots power button and home button did nothing for me, a simple shut down via power button slide to slower off fixed.
