(white CD macbook, day 1 order)

i have had a catalogue of problems with my macbook
  • yellowing keyboard
  • LCD Bezel bendy
  • Dodgy ethernet port
  • Letter T fell off
  • Only runs off battery.. won't charge
  • New Logic board
  • wonky keys (enter, some only work intermittently)
  • soft mouse button
  • wont sleep when lid is shut

This huge list has kept my MacBook in and out of service since the 23rd October!!
The service centre, apple authorised not apple, have fixed most parts, and are going to fix the last 3 when the parts arrive. But i'm seriously unhappy.
Is there any way in which i can get apple to intervene and help!!
I still love my MB, but being without it for weeks at a time is a right pain!

Explain how you feel about it firmly and politely. Ask for the manager if the in-store clerk cannot help you. With some luck you will get upgraded to a MBP in no time. :)

If you're polite and reasonable, I'm sure they'd be willing to replace it, if even for another Core Duo. If you're lucky they might just go ahead and give you a C2D.

Assuming, of course, you're still covered on AppleCare.

Considering that the MBs came out May 2006, I'd say yes, he's covered.

Don't Apple have an lemon policy? Three repairs and you get a replacement?

I've had my Macbook in twice for service for display issues, and both times it's come back worse than it went in.

Now, since it would have to go in a 3rd time, they're replacing it with the new Core 2 Duo model.

I seriously doubt he'll get a MBP out of it, maybe just a new C2D MB.
