Yosemite 10.10 Boot Time Slightly Slower on a new Retina MBP 11,3 with Mavericks (10.9.5), increased by 2 to 3 seconds. But what's a few seconds from 6 to 8 seconds, still pretty fast. I noticed a load bar was added on 10.10 below the Apple at startup.

Download the free little application EtreCheck. Whatever shows up in Red then manually delete them then reboot.
