Hello Guys and Gals,
I am currently running Yosemite Beta 3 on a base 750m specced 15" rMBP. In Mavericks, when I run Cinebench r15 I would consistently get ~52fps with the 750m, which is consistent with what others are getting.
Now in Yosemite, that fps goes up to ~59-60 fps. The issue is that the actual visual performance is very very choppy, at no point looking like anywhere near 50-60fps.
To see if this was just an issue with Cinebench I ran Unigine Valley, resulting in the same issue. Higher FPS reported than Mavericks, but with significant choppiness in the output.
I don't know if this is an issue with a partially complete driver/3d pipeline in Yosemite, or if there is an actual issue with my install of Yosemite. I should also state that I fully understand that this is still a developer preview, so this really isn't an issue but more of just a curiosity.
Does anyone else experience this issue? If not, is your FPS reported by the OpenGL test in Cinebench r15 also ~60 fps?
Cheers!
