I am not experiencing lag. Mavericks lagged and I made a few threads about it, but Yosemite truly has fixed it.

Alright big boy I got a problem, you knowledgeable with Macs?

Apple fanboys think this is the solution to everything.

It is not.

Actually, I was having a lot of problems with Yosemite in terms of disk access on my boot drive. I repaired permissions and reset the PRAM not expecting much, and since rebooting things are definitely faster. Still slower than Mavericks, but much faster than before. I would at least check your permissions with Disk Utility, though you don't say what exactly is lagging for you.

Yosemite fixed certain things on Mavericks BUT not Finder... Finder on my SL beat the crap out of Mavericks and Yosemite...

P.S. Don't tell me Finder on Yose and Mav have tabs, because tabs itself didn't bring any performance enhancements of Finder at all...

So? Tabs are very useful to me.
