I downloaded Yosemite and installed it on a flash drive. Later I went to reboot my SSD into Mavericks. The drive is now labeled Yosemite Install Disc. If I click on it, it goes into the install routine again.
How do I get my drive back?
Thanks.

Disk Utility.
Reformat it.

I'm pretty sure you overwrote your Mavericks drive with the Yosemite installer instead of putting it on your flash drive.

I don't think so. When I check the disk files of the SSD, the Applications folder shows all the apps that I've installed. The flash drive just has folders for Applications , Library, System and Users and the Applications folder only has Apps associated with the OS.

What happens when you reboot the mac and hold the cmd-r down? Does it boot into the recovery partition?
