Yosemite BETA 2 & Trackpad

I have BETA 2 installed on a separate partition on a Mid 2013 11" MBA. Everything runs well, but when I have the MBA plugged into an external monitor and using the Apple Wireless KB and Trackpad, the Trackpad is a little flaky. Scrolling is sporadic, and sometimes delayed/non-responsive. Just starting to scroll in Safari it will pop up the right mouse click menu.

Overall the other pieces work well, its really just the Trackpad. Not sure if anyone else had this issue, and if you had/have a fix.

Not that I noticed on my cMBP.
 
Same problem

I have 10.10 beta 2 installed on 2nd partition on 27 iMac with 2 extra monitors. The trackpad will respond fine if you don't lift your finger. If you do, it will take a half second to start moving. Unfortunately, the magic mouse is doing the same thing.

I just installed BETA 2 on my Retina MBP on a 2nd partition and the trackpad is working great.

Congratulations on your appointment as the terminology czar. I'm sure we all appreciate your vigilance in pointing out in every thread each use of terminology that is in any way inconsistent with Apple's usage. iOS 8 may have a "beta 2," but OS X 10.10 Yosemite has a "Developer Preview 2" or "DP2."

Perhaps you should also take yourself over to the "OS X Betas" forum in the Apple Developer Forums at devforums.apple.com and make sure that we're all using the correct terminology, notwithstanding the forum title.

With the latest release of Yosemite, on my Macbook Pro Retina, I do get laggy performance on my Magic Trackpad when connected to an External monitor.
 
I'm having the same issue with a new MacBook Air (got it Jan 2014), wireless Keyboard and trackpad, and external monitor. I noticed when I rest my thumb (bottom left) the mouse will get hung up sporadically. If I keep my thumb off of it, it works a little better....a little. Might help you survive until they get the bug fixed.

It's a minor bug, and it's only repeatable with a monitor and external keyboard and mouse. Definitely a livable issue.

The only time it's obvious to me is when I plug everything in and start moving things around. It seems to go away after a few minutes.

I'd guess there's probably an unusual exception being taken when Bluetooth trackpad and MacBook Pro trackpad are active at once.
 
I have this issue too (rMBP + dual monitors). My solution is to make sure my thumb is still on the trackpad when scrolling with other fingers, which still feels natural to me anyway.

Yes, I realize it's still not BETA, and DP2. I'll be sure to note that useful bit of info. Also, you please note that I lost no sleep over that post...
 
I have a Magic TrackPad that clicks but doesn't track at all on two DP2 Macs, a 2008 iMac and a 2012 MBP. I can't confirm that the TrackPad worked on DP1 or pre-Yosemite because I just got the TrackPad. But the TrackPad works fine on a Mavericks MBA (so I know the pad actually works).

So far haven't found anyone on Google with that drastic and clear of a problem. Weird.

I bought the TrackPad second had so I suppose there could be some sort of configuration problem. I've done the soft reset (holding the power button for 5 seconds). Not sure if there's a harder reset.

I can confirm this issue as well. "Flaky" is a good term, as I cannot nail down exactly when it's happening, but it's just not as fluid and the cursor jumps around.

Late 2013 rMBP, external monitors, Magic trackpad.

I tried one of the suggestions made in the thread; turn the trackpad off/on, but didn't really do much at all. I removed it from the BT list, turned it off and waited a bit and re-added it. Still the same. So there must be something up with drivers, etc. I'm hoping the next release will fix it.
 
Trackpad and Keyboard do not work in Yosemite

Using the current release of the Public Beta of Yosemite, my trackpad and keyboard do not work on my Late 2013 MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch.

They both work in Mavericks, Windows, and even Recovery Mode. However, once I log into Yosemite, the mouse cursor appears in the top left corner and refuses to move.
