hi, my mac won't shutdown and i have to hold the power button everytime i need to turn off

the menubar hides and dock remains but after opening apps it goes to normal state and work like nothing happened

and the problem is there after powering up again
there is no app open when shutting down(there is no app to force quit)

what should i do?

I'm thinking that something that normally gets written to just before shutdown has become corrupted.

What do the logs say?

normally i would hold the power to bring the shutdown menu
but it doesn't do anything now
so i shut down via apple menu
and then it won't shut down and i need to press power for 5 sec
