While using skype for a while the Mac mini we are running decides to crash then restart. We are running Yosemite and the newest version of skype. We aren't sure if it's skype or the operating system. But while we are in video chat. The video freezes and then craps out to a grey screen then an apple symbol and a loading bar. Half way through loading the computer restarts and when we try skype again it does it once again. Please if you have any help on the issue get back to me. Thank you

Yosemite Crashes and the computer restarts when using skype

Does this happen in all user accounts? Try running Skype from a different user account. Also try repairing permissions and reboot the computer.
We can try creating a new user and seeing if it still crashes. We were running it not on administrator just a regular user account and it was working fine for the first Skype caller which lasted around 10 minutes then once we had the second caller up we were able to see him then he froze and the screen went grey with some kind of message then the mac logo and a loading bar popped up to restart the computer. Not really sure if it was Skype or the operating system. It could be a combination of both.
It may just be Yosemite crashing for some other reason and Skype may not be the issue. We have just noticed problems since we updated to Yosemite
