Yosemite DP8 - No Sound Devices?

In Yosemite Developer PReview 8, I have no Audio Devices listed in Audio & Midi Setup. I also have No listed devices in System Prefs>Sound>output OR Input.

Plugging in headphones does not help. This is a MacBookPro6,1.

Anyone else have a problem similar?

this box was installed to DP 7 last nite
and upgraded via app store to DP 8
this morning.

internal mic
line in

upgraded from maverick 10.9.5

Further Digging made me realize I am MISSING "AppleHDA.ktext" in my System/Library/Extensions folder.

Is there any way to get another AppleHDA.ktext?
