I am being a little bit paranoid, but while my Yosemite was installing, I unplugged my earbuds from my headjack of my Macbook Pro Retina (nothing else though - like USB or Power Adapter).

Did that potentially screw something up? The updated OS seemed to work fine just FYI...

This was during the OS install? That doesn't have anything to do with the firmware, and won't cause an issue.

Well I heard that the Yosemite install actually have Firmware updates in it. I saw that my Macbook rebooted several times including one with the loud whirl-fan boot...
