Hey guys, so i want to make a clean install of the OS but unfortunately i don't have the installer in my purchase list, as this is a new mac and it came with yosemite pre-installed. Found a site with options to download it through torrent and direct download but the whole thing looked kind of shady plus i read on another site that i should not do this, i also read that what i could do is to get an Apple ID with the Yosemite Installer available on it.

So if anybody would be nice enough to share his with me that would great. Also if you have any other recommendations i am all ears as i really don't want to go for el capitan yet.

Thanks a lot

If you have never upgraded to El Capitan, you should be able to re-install Yosemite from the recovery partition.

Boot into the recovery partition by holding down command-r. Assuming you have your drive backed up, go into Disk Utility and reformat the main partition as Apple Extended Format (Journalled). Once that is done, back out of disk utility and choose re-install system.
