I have a 2013 Macbook Air that i bought brand new the end of December. It is honestly not used very frequently (until recently) and It's been upgraded with 8 gigs of memory and an i7 processor. After updating to Yosemite, both of my USB drives will not mount and after a long period of typing and hitting certain keystrokes with the caps lock key, my entire keyboard and my mouse will freeze up and i have to hard shut down my computer. I was unable to reboot the NVRM for some reason on Yosemite so I still have no fix for this.

Does anyone have any ideas to help me?
GAR. So frustrated.

Looks like some kind of software bug. I would try and plug in your keyboard and usb drive to another computer and see whether they work. Yosemite is still in beta and should not be used for critical data or your primary machine.

Registered just to point out that I have the same exact problem with Caps Lock. I am using 11-inch MBA 2013, by the way.

If anyone reads this and uses Yosemite, can you test this little thing? Start rapidly pressing Caps Lock for a few seconds. Five seconds of button mashing would be enough. Will your internal keyboard and touchpad die? (don't worry, they will be back after restarting).

Trackpad and Keyboard do not work in Yosemite

My Late 2013 MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch has a similar problem:
The trackpad and keyboard do not work inside of Yosemite!

They both work in Mavericks and Windows partitions, even in Recovery Mode/Console. As soon as I get into Yosemite, the cursor is in the upper left hand corner and doesn't move.
