I'm running latest 10.10 Public beta 6: 14A388b.

My Mac Mail client can send emails fine from my other accounts (e.g. exchange). When it comes to gmail -- I can receive emails fine, but sending them no longer works. After it tries to send, a popup says:

"The Gmail SMTP connection to server “smtp.gmail.com” failed.

Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent."

How do I fix this????

P.S. two step verification disabled, and support for less secure enabled...

Try a different port. As far as I remember there was a wrong one set for SSL. Had this on PB 2, have 465 now working.

Oddly enough my personal Gmail account works fine but my edu address through Gmail has this issue. I'll have to try changing the port, didn't think about that.
