Excuse me if this has already been discussed. I am considering purchasing a 2009 MacPro and i was wondering has Apple stated which makes of Apple computers will support Yosemite? I currently have a 2009 mac mini and a 2009 white macbook.

Apple has said the requirements will be the same as Mavericks listed at this link.
It is possible, that the requirements change before release, but that is quite unlikely. So anything running Mavericks will most likely run Yosemite.
But not all features might be supported on older models, for example Continuity will probably require BT 4.0.
