Upgraded my mid-2011 iMac to Yosemite. Very uneventful, really...just a couple of things:
- Seems like a longer boot time...and is it normal to get a progress bar with every boot before the login screen comes up?? I checked the hard drive with both Disk Utility and Drive Genius, all looks good...even defragged.
- If you have local web sites, expect Yosemite and other things to eff with them. You'll need to do some reconfiguring, although it might not be so much as a Yosemite issue as it is just newer versions of Apache etc. (See my other thread for more details.)
- I HATE the flat dock! Thankfully, I found an app that restores it to the 3-D look.
(Yes, I LOVE the 3-D look. Always have. Then again, I joined the Mac world when Leopard was new, so that might be why.)
