I recently got my MBP and when I set it up I checked the "About This Mac" and it showed that I had 1 GB of Music and 3 GB of Photos, however, the Mac is completely new.

I did sign in with iCloud, but I do NOT have any Music or Photos on iCloud.

Are those GB in use due to system files? (like Wallpapers, etc)

Thanks

Probably. There's at least 400mb of wallpapers stashed in some folder I don't remember anymore

I think it's some sort of bug; I got my MBP yesterday and it's currently claiming that I have 140 TB of backups.
