Wonder if anyone else is experiencing this.
The trash can in the dock appears empty, even when theres stuff in it, and then I can't empty the trash, either by the Finder menu command (its greyed out) or by the Finder menu's keyboard shortcut (just get a system beep). The empty button inside the trash is also greyed out, despite there being stuff in there. The only way I can empty it is by using the DesktopUtility program (a GUI wrapper for the Terminal command to force empty the trash, amongst other things, after entering the admin password). This happens both on iMac and on my MacBook Pro.
Then sometimes, conversely, the trash can icon in the dock looks as if it does have stuff in it, but the trash folder itself appears empty - but I can empty it, and hear the associated sound.
Anyone else noticed these problems or have any advice as to what to do?
