Is it just me or are others disappointed with the new Yosemite GUI design and performance. Ive held back for a long time to ensure all the major bugs have been smoothed out.

My first impressions are that the whole thing looks cheap and "Google like". I'm guessing they were trying to go fresh and clean, but its ended up child like and the performance is slower on all 3 of my macs that Ive updated. 11" Air, 15" Pro and my Mini. (By slow I mean each computer now takes more then twice as long to boot up or restart.)

I hate the baby blue folders and the icons are fuggly and cheap. It looks like the new iOS which is ok for a small screen but I want to see detail on a bigger monitor with larger screen realestate.

For me this is going to take some getting used too. :(

No problem. You've had a lot of company with people of a similar opinion. I've gotten used to it and I hope it gets better for you.
