Hi, I have yosemite on my macbook pro.

I got Google Chromecast and besides Google Chrome (the browser) I don't seem to know of any program for yosemite that would stream videos to the Google Chromecast device.

Does anyone know of a good app (paid or free) that is a video player and streams video to Google Chromecast?

Thanks in advance!

You can try Plex Media Server and use an iPhone/Android phone to cast your media...

Thanks the plex media server was very unstable with Windows. Is it worth installing the server on my mid-2014 macbook pro running Yosemite? Thanks again.
