Sometimes when I put the computer to sleep it'll wake up by itself a few minutes later. I'm wondering if it might have something to do with iOS8 on the iPhone waking it up? Any suggestions? Thanks!
A few nights ago I noticed my 10.10.2 rMBP had woke up from sleep shortly after I had put it to sleep.
From the Console app (in /Applications/Utilities) I found:
11/21/14 2:19:50.000 AM kernel[0]: Wake reason: XHC1
According to a quick Google search, XHC1 is BT-related. So for now I'm assuming it was one of my peripherals causing a wake for some reason. OP, I might recommend doing the same thinggo ahead and wait until this issue crops up again, and when it does, check Console and see if you can find a message like this. Might help
I haven't seen a Mac that does not wake occasionally for a decade. There's always stuff going on, polling the network, email, all the crapware Apple loads in the OS. Its normal behavior. Turning off wifi and disconnecting Ethernet should prevent most of it. But I've seen USB devices wake them as well.
At some point i thought this was a feature, because my MBA would wake up when i walk into the room, or if i am close to the laptop. I thought built-in webcam detects movements or something, but i guess not... Probably just coincidences, creepy ones... lol
