the phrase is, "There's something in the air"
If there were to be a MacBook Air, it wouldnt be the MacBook itself it would be what is in the air

of course, I dont think there is going to be a MacBook Air, because the name sounds stupid! (but then again, MacBook Pro sounded stupid when it first came out, when it was competing against PowerBook)

anway!

You make a good point.

So it's the 3G iPhone... or an Apple wireless national data network (ha!). Or the video rental coupled with an Apple TV/802.11n.

OR... something like the Kindle arrangement Amazon has with Verizon... no monthly fee...

Hmmm...

I'd have to agree.. It doesn't make much sense if it was indeed a Macbook Air they were referring to.

The entire concept of a "macbook air" seems rather shaky. Honestly, I think it's posters' hopes that are making them grasp at straws.

I think what CashGap suggests makes a lot of sense and is probably the main theme of MacWorld this year.

I mean, we can't expect an 'iPhone' every year...

Tell me about it. I'm really thinking of buying a display this summer, and I'd like to get an Apple display, but if the prices stay as they are, forget it.
