You can no longer attached images/photos to emails in iOS 10?

iPhone 6 running iOS 10. When sending an email, if I press and hold, the little option menu which used to have things like attaching images, etc, doesn't come up. I've restarted the phone, etc, and can't find any setting for this, but... it's gone.

Is this a bug, or as intended? If intended, how do we now attach images? I've Googled but haven't found anything.

You need to at least type 1 character into the body of the email before those options will come up.
(I'm also on a 6 running iOS 10)

No you don't. Just tapping the body will bring up those options.

No, that doesn't work. Nor does it work on my 6 with iOS 10. That's why he was having a problem.

In a new email on my 6+ on iOS10 I can do all three things and bring up the menu to attach photos: I can tap, double tap, or hold/press down. If it's a bug it's sporadic.

On my iPad (9.3.5) I just press and it comes up. On the phone 10.) I have to double tap but they are there. Pressing does not work for me on the phone

There are always some issues in iOS or really any OS/software, and especially so in the early days when a brand new version comes out. Nothing really out of the ordinary or all that bad (at least on a widespread level) when it comes to various iOS 10 issues. This particular one is certainly a very minor one given very simple workarounds that exist as well.

Well yeah and my bad on that one!

I never upgrade my software on the first or second build and always have waited a month or more to get the upgraded hardware. This time I broke both my rules and it bit me in the ass. No thanks.

I'm happy. My iPhone 6 on 9.3.5 works perfectly and has great battery life and no freezing or hissing noises.

I'm happy. My iPhone 6 on 9.3.5 works perfectly and has great battery life and no freezing or hissing noises.

Fairly certain that the whole "hissing" thing is mainly iPhone 7 related (and iPhone 7 phones can't run iOS 9 anyway). Freezing sounds a bit strange though and not typical really--potentially resetting settings, or reinstalling (maybe even as new without a backup) might have been worth a try.

Well the freezing thing is happening to a friend of mine with an iPhone 6s. He upgraded to 1OS 10 three days ago and is having his phone freeze and is completely non-responsive for like 10-15 minutes. Then all of a sudden it works again. Yeah, that kind of freezing is not typical of iOS 10 at all. Seems like something weird was going on with that particular install and/or device.

I upgraded so I could see if it worked for my kids. Normally I wait too. So far I love IOS10. No battery issues or other problems. I think it's faster than 9.3.5 too.
