I discovered that an iphone 3g/3gs screen protector does work for the iphone 4. You can position it so the home button is centered and it will leave a little piece bare on the top but its better then nothing or apples suggestion to use the one that comes on the phone and just turn the volume up so you can hear through the plastic :(
