I want to use Apple Music and save albums and songs for offline usage.

I also have a music collection on my computer I would like to add to my Apple Music playlists.

To save songs from Apple Music offline, I must enable iCloud music. Doing that erases all of the songs from my Mac from my iPhone. How do I add these songs back onto my iPhone so I have one consolidated playlist?

For example, some artists will release a free downloadable mixtape that wont appear on iTunes.

How do I add this to a playlist full of songs saved for offline usage from Apple music? It doesn't seem like I can?

I believe you can just drag n drop music files to desktop iTunes to add them.
If you make any changes to playlists or music files, Apple Music will sync them accross devices as long as you enable iCloud Music Library.
