iPod You must sign in to iTunes Store...always

I open itunes on the mac...it demands...over and over and over again...to play MY music which was NOT purchased...I must put in my long password.

Yesterday I was in a national forest horse back riding when I got lost, I wanted to text other riders to find me but the iphone when I turned it on...demanded first my password for the itunes store.

Thank God, I took my other non-smart phone with me and I was able to call the others.
Anyone know how I can delete the iTunes store..completely? I never..ever buy anything from them.

This just started happening to me on Friday. What is with this? Why have a fingerprint ID and then have to sign in? Did this all weekend but is not doing it today? Apple server glitch maybe?

This is the way they insist U buy something whether U want to or not....you paid for your apple product but they control it////how many thousands of people bought something they did not want just to stop the demand for the password...?

Agreed but I explained my issue incorrectly. I did not open itunes, simply woke the phone up to use it and up pops the sign in window for signing in. I thought once it was just a fluke. Maybe they ask for a random sign in occasionally. This could be a security thing. But over the weekend it happened a dozen times. Not once did I open itunes during this period. Today it seems to have stopped asking?

On iOS... You can turn off the iTunes Store in Restrictions. If you don't have any other apps besides the Apple ones, you can disable Installing Apps, Deleting Apps, In-App Purchases, and log yourself off iTunes & App Store back in the main settings page.

On the Mac... Preferences > Restrictions, and then uncheck the iTunes Store.

Have no idea if any of that is going to help with making the nags go away, but it's worth trying.

Thanks for posting this. I've been having the same problem for weeks, literally. I'll see if this stops it.
