Hi, since my M1 iPad Pro has issues playing You Tube videos, I noticed it since yesterday. It’s updated to iOS 16.1 and Google has updated and done a work over on the You Tube app.
when I go to play videos I get an error of something went wrong. Tap to retry.

If I reboot the iPad it works, I did this yesterday and was fine, I was watching videos this morning fine, but now it’s giving me the same error? Anyone else had this issue?

Same here on my 11” M1 iPad Pro. I’ve had to use safari to watch YouTube Since Thursday. You can save the Safari link to your desktop so it looks like the app.

I’m still getting this issue daily now. I have to restart my iPad to get You Tube videos to work, otherwise I am constantly greeted with the ‘something went wrong’ message. I am going to try a full wipe and reinstall as a new device over the weekend to see if they fixes it. It’s definitely a software bug.

I have this intermittent issue on my M1 - a restart usually solves it but it happens every few weeks. It is likely software as no other app has this issue.

I erased and set up my iPad, I wanted to do it anyway and load it as a fresh new device so did it using the manual setup option. I think it’s running even faster? Anyway I haven’t had the You Tube issue again yet.
