As my 1st Cocoa project comes to a close (hopefully), I start to wonder what other people have done when they first learned about Cocoa and Objective-C. I would go on about what mine is, but that might infringe on the NDA .... *chuckles*. So in this thread I invite you to reminisce to the time when you were a beginner like me, or share with the excitement you had when you had completed your first project.

Well I meant projects beyond beginning 'test' applications (of which I have made a good many). I mean the ones that you would spend weeks or even months on .. the ones that you would have at least thought of submitting.

I haven't gotten to making a "big" app yet, but my first real app that I have up and on the internet waiting for downloading is my programmers calculator. Instead of the classic button calculator, it has two fields. And it can calculate modulus as well. Are we allowed to link to our apps?

Well I'm currently working on my first app... it's a fairly big one, and I'm near 80% done. It's hard to explain to someone who doesn't make Simple Machines forum modifications... basically it'll help make all of the necessary helper files needed, most of which are in XML format.

Finished the "Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X" book a little while ago and I'm pretty confident in what I've learned so far, but (as always) I still have a long way to go :)
