what is an aluminum footpad?

The bottom of this "thing".

Where'd you get an iRemote? I only have the remote. What's the difference?

I keep a red bull stuffed animal, a superman figure, a sharpie (write out loud) a $2 bill and a $1 bill and some carefully situated dust.

That is on a "footpad" of the 30" ACD.

Dust does not count, that's a given.

Not really. I usually run a duster around my desk daily but somehow I accumulate more in my new place. Could be to wood ceilings or the wind since I'm closer to the ocean.

i keep a cast iron lotus tea cup holder on it. has my flashdrive in there, and usually my wallet.

On the "foot" of my ACD, I applied some little rubber nubs to the top of it and I put my MacBook Pro there when using it on the desk. The rubber nubs keep the aluminum from scratching and the whole deal keeps the MBP out of the way and allows for air to circulate underneath it due to the 2 cm clearance provided.

I keep a can of air handy, so not even dust.

I can see a minidisc recorder on one foot across the room, but I try and keep my desk area bare apart from the necessities these days.
