Here's mine, I made these in august 06. It's even funnier to look back on this old thread now that we know exactly what the iphone is really like..

And after someone pointed out that the iphone was supposed to have music playing abilities as well as being a phone, I made this alteration

And here's the retrospectively amusing old thread it came from

What's different about the iPhone Air compared to current iPhone (other than it inherits the iPod touch design)?

Good effort though.

iPhone Air is to iPhone as Macbook Air is to Macbook ;)

Making them in the Gimp was tough as I had to figure out how to make it look 3D. Most of the 3d look is done with gradients.

Btw I didn't modify an existing product I completely made new ones.

The iPhone air would be cool if it had the same look as the current iPhone but about half the thickness. It's be great if they would take the edge where the chrome is currently, make it brushed aluminum and have one single piece of aluminum wrapped around the back of the phone. It's be an even more streamlined look and would get rid of the scratchable, yet very attractive, chrome.

It'd be just glass to aluminum all the way around.

And I'd buy 10 ACDs if they looked like that, albeit a bit thinner as there's no computer hidden behind the panel like in an iMac.

It's not much but I created this for my own curiosity when the iMac was first revealed to see how it would look with the boarder around the LCD taking up the entire frontal portion of the iMac.

The look of the iMac has grown on me although I would have preferred if it looked closer to my mock-up. Not in the market for an iMac anyway so it really doesn't matter all that much.

With a name like that I was expecting it to be a different kind of cup! :D

Yeah, but sometimes it's what you leave out, not what you add.

It has to be functional, intuitive and stylish; anything more is just 'bells and whistles'.

(It's a slow day at work) :D
